These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Garage Shift platform, tools, features, website, and related services ("Service") provided by AvenTech Ltd (Company Number: 15659681, registered in England and Wales), the owner and operator of Garage Shift ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you are using Garage Shift on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business to these Terms.

2. The Service

Garage Shift is a cloud-based workshop management platform designed for UK garages, workshops, MOT centres, and similar businesses. The Service includes (but is not limited to):

  • Online booking functionality
  • Digital jobsheets & invoicing
  • Customer and vehicle record management
  • Automated reminders & notifications
  • Dashboard tools and operational features
  • Support and onboarding

We may update or improve the Service at any time.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to access the Service. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate registration details
  • Keep your login details secure
  • Ensure only authorised staff access your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Garage Shift is offered on a subscription basis (monthly or annual). By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the subscription fee displayed at the time of purchase
  • Allow recurring billing unless cancelled
  • Ensure payment details remain valid

Prices may change but you will be informed in advance.

All amounts include or exclude VAT as indicated at checkout.

5. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial. At the end of the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription. We reserve the right to withdraw or adjust trial offers.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Access remains until the end of the billing period
  • No refunds are given for unused time
  • Your data may be deleted after a retention period (see Privacy Policy)

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use Garage Shift to:

  • Store unlawful or harmful content
  • Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to reverse-engineer the system
  • Send spam or unauthorised marketing communications
  • Interfere with other users or the Service infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend accounts for misuse.

8. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you upload, including customer information, vehicle history, invoices, and bookings. By using the Service, you grant us permission to:

  • Store and process data solely for the purpose of delivering the Service
  • Back up and maintain systems for reliability and security

We do not claim ownership of your business data.

9. Availability

We aim to provide high uptime, but the Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or technical issues. We are not liable for downtime but will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the previous 12 months
  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, content, and platform features of Garage Shift are owned by AvenTech Ltd (Company Number: 15659681, registered in England and Wales). You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works of the platform.

12. Termination

We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risks. Upon termination, your access will cease and your data may be deleted after a retention period.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the Service means acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England & Wales.
